Nickname you prefer to be called:

Ken, Kenny

What’s a typical day look like for you?

1) Making sure there is enough material on hand for the project. 2) Making sure things are being built to print.  3) Watching to make sure everyone is working safely. 4) Checking on the job site to keep it clean. 5) checking to make sure our crews are working efficiently.

What year did you start with Crestone?

2013

What year did you get into the construction field?

1995

Where did you grow up?

Kranzburg, SD

Favorite thing about your neighborhood that you grew up in?

We were able to run and do just about anything we wanted in the small town, from playing baseball during the day to sleeping under the stars at night and raiding the peas from gardens nearby.

When you were 10 years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

That was too many years ago to remember that.  But I do remember when I was about that age driving by the dance hall that was on Kampeska, which was being torn down, and seeing the studded walls standing inside the building, thinking construction would be a pretty awesome career.

What do you like to do when you are not working?

Playing with the grandkids, fishing, hunting or watching it on the television

My three pet peeves?

1) People wanting everything, expecting everything, and not working to earn it.  2)  workers standing around waiting to be told what to do next instead of thinking for themselves to see what needs to be done next.

Name a few of your daily habits (other than showering or brushing your teeth).

Coffee in the morning, tv in the evening.
